SRINAGAR

Angry protestors have set ablaze car of J&K Police cop in Srinagar outskirts on late Thursday evening.

Reports reaching here said that intense clashes were going on in Parimpora area of summer capital last evening when a car was stopped by protestors. “When they came to know that the driver was a police cop, they burnt down the car before the cop fled away,” reports said.

Kashmir is witnessing mass protests and killing of civilians by forces since last Saturday, a day after militant commander Burhan Wani was killed. On Friday, government clamped down with strict curfew across Kashmir.

Meanwhile, reports said that two attendants of a patient were beaten to pulp by forces when they were on way to SKIMS.

Their relative had fallen ill and the patient was driven to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment. “The attendants were thrashed and their car damaged,” reports said.
