In late Monday evening, an army patrol of 9RR opened fire in Churat Qazigund, leaving two civilians dead including a woman, according to government sources.
The sources told Kashmir Life that army’s counterinsurgent force, 9RR opened fire on protesters and killed two civilians while leaving around 6 critically injured.
“The deceased have been identified as Showkat Ahmad (25) and Saida Begum (45),” the sources said.
The fresh killings took the death toll in ongoing protests in valley to 46.
