In accordance with the decision of the Government of Pakistan, “Black Day” was observed at the Pakistan High Commission New Delhi in “support” of the struggle of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistan Diplomats of the Mission wore black arms band to express diplomatic support to Kashmiris, a statement issued by the Pakistan embassy said.
Special prayers were also held at the auditorium of the Mission after Zuhar prayers for “martyrs of Kashmir”.
While speaking on the occasion, High Commissioner Abdul Basit underlined the importance of resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The message from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also read on the occasion.
