Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday evening issued a statement detailing the situation of the day. The 43-word statement is being reproduced here verbatim.
The situation remained under control throughout the Kashmir valley, though incidents of stray and intermittent stone pelting were reported.
These incidents were reported from Tahab in Pulwama, Sangam Chowk in Bijbehara, Fatehpora and Ahan in Ganderbal and Bagyas & Reck Chowk in Srinagar.
