Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday evening issued a statement detailing the Kashmir situation in 87 words. The statement is being reproduced here verbatim
The situation remained under control throughout the Kashmir valley, though incidents of some stray stone pelting were reported.
These incidents were reported from Nowpora in Sopore, Koundbal, Alesting in Ganderbal, Sangam in Islamabad, Kaloosa in Bandipora and Reck Chowk, Karan Nagar in Srinagar.
Elderly person succumbs
Today an elderly person Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Mir son of Abdul Satar Mir resident of Khumriyal, Kupwara died at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar. The deceased had got a blunt injury on his head. The cause of which is being ascertained by the police.
