The hospitals across central and South Kashmir need blood given the grave situation which has developed post killing of militant commander Burhan Wani.

At least 40 civilians were killed by forces since Saturday, a day after Burhan along with two of his associates were killed, in Kashmir. 38 slain youths belong to South Kashmir; one was killed in Srinagar and other in Kupwara. One SPO was killed when protestors pushed mobile police bunker in to tributary of Jhelum near Sangam in Islamabad.

Srinagar’s SMHS and SKIMS JVC and Soura are flooded with bullet and pellet injured civilians. And the “non-lethal” pellet had gun done “lethal damage” to youth which has also resulted in huge blood loss.

Besides voluntary groups, Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) has also been holding blood donating camps across Kashmir.

In a statement issued Thursday morning, DHSK invited interested person to donate blood in North or South Kashmir. They may contact on these official numbers:
