At least seven youth were injured after clashes erupted between the police and youth in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Wednesday.

Reports said that youth carrying banners assembled at KP road and took out a protest march seeking justice for Asia.

Soon clashes between forces and students erupted leading to the closure of shops and other business establishments in the town. Police used tear gas shells to disperse the protestors, leading to injuries to seven of them, they said.

An official from district Hospital Islamabad said that seven youth have sustained injuries in which and one of them has been shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
