Urging Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to muster courage to sack two senior cabinet colleagues responsible for instigating Kathua people in order to polarize the situation, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir on Friday said it was not  the question of any particular community, it is the question of eight-year innocent girl, who was raped and brutally murdered, the statement said.

Stating that he Mir is surprised to notice the inability and inaction on the part of Chief Minister, who seems not in a position to take action against the Ministers responsible for polarizing the situation in order to give protection accused persons and urged upon the Chief Minister to muster courage and sack the Ministers to restore confidence among the people.

He said that the entire Nation is eying on situation arising out of the brutal murder and rape of Asifa, feeling highly concerned about what is going on under PDP BJP rule in the State, amazing the Senior Cabinet Ministers were hell bent upon to give protection to the culprits under the garb of politics of polarization, he added.

Stating that people in the country are watching as to what action Chief Minister will take against the Cabinet colleagues, as that, the duo were fully responsible for instigating people to polarize the situation, which is not only serious, but a shameful act, how can anyone even think about giving protection to killers and rapists, G.A. Mir said.

He demanded exemplary punishment to accused persons and those supporting them.
