Reacting to the student protests reported from all over the Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir government’s spokesperson and Public Works Minister Naeem Akhtar on Thursday said that there is no cause to protest against the Kathua victim as the case has been already solved and accused are behind the bars.

Taking to a social networking site Akhtar wrote “What is there to protest about? Case is solved, charge sheet filed, accused in custody, trial on. Those who still pelt stones in name of the poor girl of Kathua are only hurting the image and interests of the state.”

Pertinent to mention, reports of student protests are being reported from across Kashmir, from last few days many students have sustained injuries during the clashes with government forces.
