A delegation of newly elected office-bearers of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Wednesday met Advisor to Governor BB Vyas and Principal Secretary Finance, Navin K Choudhary in Srinagar regarding the redressal of urgent issues including the settlement of VAT related issues under Amnesty Scheme, Reverse Input Tax of post September, 2014 and the refusal to implement budgetary announcements relating to Hotels and Tourism Sector by the Power Development Department.

The Deputation while discussing the overall scenario of Industries and Commerce in the state, projected several issues which included weaver of interest/penalty on the pending arrears of taxes under the old VAT regime, besides implementation of power amnesty scheme for Industrialists, Hoteliers tourists resort, owners, small-scale industries and sick industries.

While interacting with the delegation, the Advisor assured that he would look into their demands.

The KCCI delegation comprised Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, President, Nasir Hamid Khan, Senior Vice President, Abdul Wahid Malik, President KHAROF and Altaf Ahmad Trumboo, Executive Member, KCC&I.
