A delegation of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Inc) led by its President Javid Ahmad Tenga on Wednesday Met B B Vyas, Advisor to Governor.

The spokesman in a statement said that among other issues, problems being faced by the business community regarding settlement of unresolved issues of earlier tax regime and delay in finalization of Master Plans were brought to the notice of B B Vyas assured the delegation that the last date of amnesty granted under Order No. 39_FD of 2018 dated 05-02-2018 which was expiring on July 15, 2018, would be extended by one month. He further assured the members that this issue would be settled as early as possible.

The delegation also raised objections to the proposals of the Draft Master Plan in Srinagar which reserved 15% of areas in Business Districts for what was termed as “informal businesses’. The KCC&I also demanded the re-conversion of the ‘Skewed’ Foot Bridge to a motorable one which was the critically required to ease the traffic congestion leading to the Central Business District. B B Vyas said that the re-conversion of the bridge would be actively considered by the Government and all possible measures would be taken to bring relief to the general public.
