KCCI demands impartial probe into killing of civilian in Budgam


Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday demanded an impartial inquiry into the killing of a youth in the CRPF firing in Budgam district on Wednesday.

A spokesperson of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed concern at the killing of 22 year old Peer Mehrajuddin at Budgam yesterday.

The spokesperson stated that preliminary accounts suggest that the deceased was an unarmed civilian and his death was avoidable.

“It is the responsibility of the government to conduct an impartial probe in the matter and punish the guilty,” said KCCI spokesman in a statement.
