KCCI Expresses Grief Over Nowgam Police Station Blast

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has said it is profoundly grieved by the accidental blast at Nowgam Police Station, a tragedy that has claimed nine lives, including police and revenue officials, and left more than thirty others injured.

Javid Ahmad Tenga, President of KCCI, said the business community stands in solidarity with the bereaved families and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life. He offered heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost loved ones and said the families needed strength and courage to bear what he described as an irreparable loss.

Tenga said the blast has also caused significant damage to residential property in the surrounding localities, adding that this has brought severe hardship to poorer households at a time when winter conditions are setting in. He urged the authorities to ensure timely assistance so that affected families receive immediate relief without delay.

The Chamber has prayed for the swift recovery of all those injured and said it hoped that they receive every necessary medical support. It said the tragedy has cast a deep shadow over society and reaffirmed its solidarity with all those affected.
