Seminar on bringing Tourism Sector under the preview of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) was organised by the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry on December 29, 2018, at Srinagar.

It was attended by President, KCC&I Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Director, Industries & Commerce, Aijaz Ahmad, Assistant Director, Tourism Department and Afaq T Dar, Manager, Jammu & Kashmir Development Financial Corporation (JKDFC) besides office Bearers of KCC&I.

Representatives from the Hotel Industry, Tour & Travel operators and Houseboat Owners participated in the seminar.

Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad while initiating the discussion laid down the importance of registration of the Tourism units under Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) for availing the benefits under the scheme.

Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Director, Industries & Commerce highlighted the various benefits available to the Tourism units under MSME and assured hassle-free registration on top priority without any hurdles. Officers from  Industries & Commerce, Tourism  Department and Jammu & Kashmir Development  Financial Corporation (JKDFC) participated in the interaction. Afaq T. Dar, Manager, JKDFC assured the participants of extending full cooperation to the business community.

Assistant Director, Tourism Department and Members appreciated the KCC&I for organising this interaction Seminar with exclusive focus on the problems faced by the Tourism sector.
