Several youth sustained injuries on Sunday after they clashed with government forces near the encounter site in Keelam area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir.
Reports said that following the killing of three militants during an encounter youth took to the streets and pelted government forces with stones, however, forces retaliated by firing metal pellets resulting in injuries to several protestors.
The clashes were reported after the encounter began in the area, meanwhile, initial reports suggest that three militants have been killed and fresh firing was resumed.
