Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) Tuesday condoled the sudden demise of a Afroz Hussain, younger brother of senior journalist Altaf Hussain. Late Afroz was a cousin of ‘Greater Kashmir’ Editor, Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo.
Afroz (55) was not keeping well from the past many months and it was on Monday that he breathed his last. The deceased is survived by his wife and two kids.
Afroz, a jeweller by profession was suffering from a kidney ailment. He was undergoing dialysis in a private hospital, however, doctors shifted him to SMHS hospital after he developed several complications late Monday evening. He breathed his last at SMHS hospital here.
His funeral prayers were held at the ancestral graveyard of the family located at Soura Aunta Bawan on Tuesday morning. People from all walks of life attended the funeral.
KEG, while expressing solidarity with the bereaved family prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
