To ensure availability and smooth distribution of Kerosene Oil to the consumers, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon convened a meeting of all Additional Deputy Commissioners of the Valley and representatives of wholesale dealers of Kerosene Oil on Friday.
Threadbare discussions were held to fix the rates of Kerosene Oil in the Srinagar Municipal limits. It was decided that 7 litres of Kerosene Oil shall be distributed against each ration card to the consumer @ Rs 16.65 per litre.
It was informed that as many as 4836 Kilo Litres of K-Oil are available with oil companies in the valley out of which 2200 K. Litres have been lifted and distributed till date.
Divisional Commissioner stressed for immediate lifting of remaining stocks of Kerosene Oil to ensure its distribution to the consumers. He also directed for constitution of special squads to monitor smooth distribution and curbing the black marketing of Kerosene Oil in the valley.
