Authorities on Friday have blocked all the roads leading to Pulwama district’s Awantipora and adjoining villages following the identifications of the two slain militants killed during an encounter in Balhama Khunmoh area of district Pulwama.

Reports said that all the roads leading to this area have been sealed, adding that ‘even the pedestrians are not allowed to move towards the village.’

Meanwhile, authorities have also ordered the closure of all colleges and higher secondary schools in district Pulwama for today as precautionary measures.

A heavy deployment of government forces was seen in Muraan Chowk, Rajpora Chowk and Dalipora Chowk to deal with any untoward incident, reports claimed.

Two militants were killed during an encounter between the government forces and militants in Khanmoh ara of district Pulwama on Thursday night.

The slain militants were identified as shabir Ahmed, a resident of Awantipora and Rasuk Nabi bhat, a resident of Tral.
