SRINAGAR:  Khyber Agro Pvt Ltd, a leading name in Kashmir’s dairy industry, has launched a new 1kg curd product packaged in eco-friendly IML Bucket packaging. The launch event, held at the company’s headquarters in Hyderpora, Srinagar, was marked by the presence of key dignitaries, including Manan Tramboo, Managing Director of Khyber Agro Pvt. Ltd., and Hashmat Ali Yatoo (IAS), Commissioner of the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), Jammu & Kashmir.

At the launch, Commissioner Hashmat Ali Yatoo commended Khyber Agro’s focus on sustainable packaging and its broader commitment to food safety. The curd, which is produced at Khyber’s state-of-the-art facility in Srinagar, adheres to strict quality control measures at every stage of its processing and packaging. With an extensive distribution network covering 13 districts in Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Agro aims to make this locally-produced curd accessible to a broad audience.

During the launch, a presentation detailed the company’s growth and its adherence to food safety standards as mandated by the Food Safety and Standards Act, of 2006. The Commissioner also encouraged the firm to collaborate with the FDA in organizing training and awareness programs for milk producers and food handlers to further improve food safety practices in the region.
