The project was formally unveiled at the company’s Hyderpora head office in Srinagar in collaboration with SAP and its implementation partner, Grant Thornton. With this, Khyber Cement has taken what it described as a decisive step to strengthen its leadership in the market.

According to the company, the platform will integrate processes seamlessly, ensure greater transparency, and provide real-time intelligence capabilities, making the organisation more resilient and future-ready.

Reflecting on the milestone, Umar Tramboo, Director Corporate and Strategy, said, “Our aim is to lead from the front. This transformation gives us the agility and strength needed to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market.”

Echoing this, Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Head of Commercials, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, described the move as “more than a technology upgrade,” adding, “It’s about pushing boundaries, driving excellence, and reinforcing our responsibility towards the trust people place in Khyber Cement.”

Purshotam Singh, Chief Accounts at Khyber Cement, highlighted the cultural dimension of the initiative. “Project NISHAT is not just about systems, it’s about shaping a culture where data-driven agility and accountability become part of our DNA,” he said.

The company said the name ‘NISHAT’ was chosen to symbolise prosperity, energy and growth, inspired by the timeless beauty of the famed Nishat Gardens in Srinagar.

By embracing such initiatives, Khyber Cement said it is reaffirming its position as the most trusted cement brand in Jammu and Kashmir, while setting new benchmarks for the industry.
