SRINAGAR: Khyber Cement has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Red FM 93.5 to become the title sponsor of the Red Premier League 2026, continuing its association with cricket and youth-focused initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir.
The partnership aims to provide emerging cricketers in the region with a competitive platform to showcase their talent and gain wider visibility through the tournament, supported by Red FM’s regional reach.
Wasim Ahmed Khan, Chief Sales and Customer Relations at Khyber Cement, and Abrar Zargar, Cluster Programming Head, J&K, Red FM, signed the MoU, marking the formal start of preparations for the 2026 edition.
The sponsorship builds on Khyber Cement’s previous association with the league, including its title sponsorship of the Kashmir Super League.
“Cement is the business of building foundations, and we believe our community initiatives should create foundations for lasting opportunity,” said Umar Tramboo, Director, Corporate and Strategy, Khyber Cement.
He said the Red Premier League offered young cricketers a structured platform to compete, develop their skills and gain visibility, adding that the partnership reflected the company’s continued commitment to sport as a pathway for youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
Wasim Ahmed Khan said Khyber Cement had supported the Red Premier League from its inaugural season, recognising its potential to bring local cricketing talent into the spotlight.
He said the company looked forward to continuing the association and creating greater opportunities for players to showcase their abilities while connecting with audiences across the region.
Khyber Cement said its continued investment in regional sporting initiatives was part of its broader engagement with communities across Jammu and Kashmir, with a focus on promoting teamwork, discipline and opportunities for young people.
