Minister of State for Home, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Monday convened a meeting with Jammu University (JU) administration led by Vice Chancellor Mohan Pal Singh Ishar to discuss issues regarding withdrawal of Police contingent deployed at the varsity campus.

Threadbare discussions were held on relocation/withdrawal of Police component deployed in the University for the last four years.

According to statement, Vice Chancellor requested the Minister for early withdrawal of the police personnel and vacation of at the transit House – a building in the campus where police personnel are putting up.

The Minister assured the Vice Chancellor that appropriate decision will be taken at the earliest in this regard. He further said that he has convened a meeting of home department on Tuesday to resolve the issues.

Kichloo also paid visit to Transit House of Jammu University along with Additional District Development Commissioner Rehana Batool, DIG Jammu Shakeel Ahmed Beig, SP South Rajeshwar Singh and other senior officers of Jammu University and other concerned departments.
