According to police spokesman, police in Pulwama recovered the dead body of a kidnapped lady from Galbugh nallah.
On April 10, 2013 Abdul Majid resident of Galbugh, Kakapora lodged a complaint in police post Kakapora in which he alleged that one person namely Mohammad Yaqoob Rather son of Bashir Ahmad Rather resident of Goripora has kidnapped his 22 years old daughter (name withheld).
Police registered a case FIR No 103/13 under section 366 PRC in this regard and started the investigation. Police teams conducted raids at number of places. Police succeeded in arresting the accused Mohammad Yaqoob Rather. The accused was thoroughly questioned regarding the kidnapped girl. On his revelation, police recovered the body of the kidnapped girl at Galbugh Nallah. The body was sent for post mortem and was later handed over to her next of kin after completion of all legal formalities.
