As 31 people died and eight passengers were left critically injured in a major road accident in Kishtwar, reports suggest that four more injured persons have succumbed to their wounds, taking the death toll to 35.
The fatal accident occurred today early morning when a bus on way to Kishtwar from Keshwan overturned near Sirgwari and fell into a deep gorge.
Reports said that a bus on way to Kishtwar from Keshwan overturned near Sirgwari and fell into a deep gorge. The accident resulted in on-spot death of 28 people and injuries to 11 others. The injured persons were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Soon after they were admitted three of them succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, taking the toll to 31. Delayed reports also suggest that toll has reached to 35 as four more injured persons have succumbed.
Others critically injured have been airlifted to Jammu hospital for specialized treatment.
