Soon after the unknown gunmen attacked an RSS leader in Kishtwar, the district administration has imposed curfew like restriction in Kishtwar town and its adjoining parts.

An official said that curfew has been imposed following the attack to avoid any untoward incident. “The restrictions have been imposed as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order in wake of the attack,” an official said.

Earlier, an RSS leader sustained critical injuries while his security guard was killed after unknown gunmen attacked them in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district. Reports said that gunmen opened fire on RSS leader identified as Chandrakant Singh and his security personnel outside district hospital Kishtwar, resulting in on spot death of the security personnel and injuries to the leader.
