Official sources said that an encounter broke out between the militants and the security forces in the Gool Kisthwar on Sunday. The encounter broke out when police, assisted by Army and CRPF, launched a cordon and search operation in Nagalo Sunday early morning based on intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

The search has been expanded in the area to track down the hiding militants. It is believed there are two to three of them, sources said. (KNC)
