Kishtwar gets 100-bedded hospital

Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat On Monday laid foundation of additional 100-bedded hospital at Kishtwar.

The new building will be constructed by JKPCC at an estimated cost of Rs 19.50 crore and is expected to be completed by May 2020, an official statement said. The project authority – Director Health Services Jammu has released Rs 3.50 crore for the project in the initial stage.

The additional 100-bedded IPD block, a three storied RCC frame structure, shall be constructed near district hospital Kishtwar and will serve the purpose of accommodating more patients visiting the hospital.

Later, the Minister inaugurated a three-day laparoscopic surgery camp wherein a team of doctors/specialists from Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu will conduct related surgeries.

DDC Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan, SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir, CMO Kishtwar, Senior doctors, medical faculty besides others senior and Junior Staff of the health department were also present on the occasion.
