The Kishtwar Police has booked a government school Teacher for rape, extortion, and blackmail. The Teacher developed intimacy with the girl for marrying her, exploited her sexually after terrorizing and developed her porn videos and photos for blackmailing her.
The police spokesman in a statement said that the accused extorted money from the girl by putting her under the threat of uploading her nude pictures and videos on the internet. The accused finally circulated the porn stuff made out of the body of the victim on social media and to the youth in her locality including her close relatives.
As per the investigation conducted so far by Police, the accused Teacher is already married to a girl of a reputed family having two male kids. The police has arrested the accused.
The Kishtwar Police received a written complaint from a girl (name withheld) resident of Kishtwar that she was undergoing the FMPHW training in Doda when one Waseem Hussain Butt son of Ghulam Hassan Butt, a retired Tehsildar started following her repeatedly with the proposal for marriage. The accused has raped her repeatedly on the pretext of marrying her and then terrorized her to put her nude video and photos on the internet, the statement said.
“The accused has also extorted money from the girl by threatening to defame her reputation by putting her porn pictures and videos in social media reads the complainant. The accused teacher has finally put her nude videos, taken after administering sedatives to her, on the internet. The complaint further reads that the accused has also forwarded the nude pictures of the girl to her relatives and the youth in Kishtwar town. The girl has further disclosed in her complaint that she was repeatedly raped by accused in Kishtwar and Mughalmaidain area,” police said.
Taking cognizance of the complaint the police has registered case FIR No. 126/2018 u/s 376, 354-C, 354-D, 384, 509/RPC read with Sections 66/67 IT Act in Police Station Kishtwar.
“The investigation of the case keeping its seriousness and sensitivities in view is entrusted to Dy SP DAR Kishtwar, Manoj Kumar. During the course of the investigation, it has been found that the prosecutrix, a resident of Kishtwar, was undergoing the training of FMPHW at ANMT School in district Hospital Doda. During her training one Waseem Hassan Butt son of Ghulam Hassan Butt (a retired Tehsildar) a govt. School Teacher by profession started repeatedly following her for marriage. The girl suggested him to approach her parents,” police said.
It was ascertained that the father of the girl was a laborer in HP and mother was illiterate and a gentle housewife. The accused instead of approaching the parents of girl initially took her into confidence by swearing in repeatedly for marrying her and when she gained a little bit confidence on the seriousness of the accused, he took her in his car to Khelleni area. In Khelleni he left her at government Guest House with the word that he has to meet his friend and will return after some time. The accused with the criminal intention wasted time outside the Guest House and return inside only after sunset. Here the accused prevailed upon the girl that it is too late to move back to Doda and persuaded her to stay in the Guest House. During her stay with him the accused taking the benefit of her loneliness pounced upon her and rape her, police said.
“The accused next morning dropped the victim at Doda where she stayed tight-lipped keeping in mind her honor and reputation. The victim then approached the family of accused and found that he was already married and having a one-year-old male baby. When she agitated and cried the accused provided her a fake “Talaqnama” and again tried to persuade her for sexual favours and pleaded that he hates his wife,” police added.
As per the statement of the victim, the accused on a couple of occasions administered sedatives to her and took her nude videos & pictures. The accused then started blackmailing her on the pretext that if she does not oblige him he will upload her videos and pictures on the internet. The victim sensing trouble and helplessness left back to Kishtwar for her home. The accused started following her in Kishtwar and started harassing her with the threat to upload her videos on the internet. Succumbing to the threats and terror by the accused, the victim was forced by him and taken to Mughalmaidian where she was taken to an isolated area and was raped by the accused. One another occasion also the victim was raped under threat by the accused in the vicinity of Kishtwar town.
As per further investigation, the accused then started threatening the victim to transfer money to his account or he will defame her. The victim under threat also transferred money to him on two occasions. Finally, when the victim was getting engaged to a youth, the accused out of anger distributed all her videos & pictures to her relatives and the youth in her locality. During the course of further investigation, it has been ascertained that accused is a very clever person and has developed intimacy with a number of other girls to blackmail, terrorize and sexually abuse them. The victim in the instant case was so depressed by the act of uploading and forwarding her nude picture & videos to her friends and relatives by accused that she attempted to kill herself. But her parents saved her by timely noticing the attempt and brought her to the Police Station for lodging a complaint against the accused.
The police parties led by Dy SP DAR Kishtwar Manoj Kumar assisted by SHO Police Station Kishtwar Inspector Sameer Jeelani under the direct supervision of SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary has raided various places and finally arrested the accused Teacher Waseem Hassan Bhat son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat. The accused has been produced in the court of law and has been taken on police remand.
The Police has identified a number of other persons also who in connivance with the accused are circulating the nude pics & videos of the victim in the social media.
When contacted, the Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar said: “We have registered the FIR, have arrested the accused Teacher, some more people are found to have been involved for violation of IT Act provisions, we will shortly arrest them too.”
“We have requested the court for getting the statement of victim recorded under section 164-A/ Cr PC. The police shall make all efforts to bring and book the accused and get justice to the victim, maintained the SSP. The accused in the garb of being a teacher and belonging to the noblest profession has committed a most heinous crime. He has sexually abused the victim under the duress and threat on one hand and has committed the highest order of rights violation of the victim by uploading and forwarding her nude videos and pictures to the youth and the relative of the victim including her brother,” said the SSP.
