Kishtwar road mishap leaves 3 dead, many injured

Following a road mishap which killed 6 people and left dozens injured in Udhampur, a new disaster was witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district which ended up with the death of three people and many others were injured.

On Saturday morning, a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AK 7903 met with an accident at Dadpeth in Mughalmaidan tehsil of the district, resulting in the death of three persons identified as Ghulam Hassan, son of Ghulam Mohammad, Baby Jaan, daughter of Ayaz Ahmed, and Jaffer Hussain Lone, all residents of Dadpeth.

The other three people injured in the incident were later shifted to the district hospital for the treatment.

Earlier, six passengers including a woman died and 39 others were injured after a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Udhampur district on Friday late night.

Reports said that the bus ( JK02BR-5503) skidded off the road and fell down into a deep gorge near Chaner area of Majalta. The incident occurred last night when the Kashmiri bound passengers were travelling in the bus towards Srinagar from Jammu. The accident resulted in the death of six people and 39 were injured.
