KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown in Central Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: Power supply will remain disrupted in several areas of central Kashmir on December 23 and 27 due to the scheduled shutdown of two 33 KV transmission lines, officials said.

The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), said the 33 KV Nowbugh–Nagam line and the 33 KV Nowbugh–Chadoora line will remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on both days.

As a result, electricity supply to Kakawring, Yousmarg, Charar-i-Sharief, Tilsera, Badipora, Nagam, Hayatpora, Hafroo, Bizgoo, Loolipora, Sogam, Rapora, Dawlatpora, Panzan, Lalgam, Chadoora, Wathoora, Bugam, Gadsathoo, Kathairgund and adjoining areas will be affected during the shutdown period.

Officials said the shutdown is being carried out to facilitate necessary maintenance works and appealed to consumers to cooperate.
