SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns at several locations across Kashmir this month for maintenance and other works.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, power supply to Watlab, Warpora, Hatlangoo, Dangerpora, Qunsoo, Dooru, Mundji, Shiva, Tujjar, Shrine, Arampora, Adipora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 15 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Amargarh-Bandipora line.
Similarly, the 33 kV LJHP-Uri line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on September 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30 and October 3. The shutdown will affect power supply to Salamabad, NHPC, MES Uri, TFC Uri, Gharkote, Bandi, Mohura, Rampur, Bijhama, Dhani, Bagna, Kamalkote, Paranpillam and adjoining areas.
Power supply to K K Mohalla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, BB Shah, Babademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Naisarak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basantbagh, Car Parking, Maisuma and adjoining areas will be affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 19 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Bemina-Fateh Kadal and 33 kV Bemina-Barbarshah lines.
In south Kashmir, the 33 kV Wanpoh-Ashajipora line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on September 15 and 17, affecting power supply to Ashajipora, Dialgam, Rohu, Malaknag, Reshibazar, Janglat Mandi, Shirpora, Nowgam and adjoining areas.
The 33 kV Budgam line will also remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on September 17, affecting power supply to Budgam, Sabdan, Nasrullahpora, Jawalapora, Town Ompora, SIDCO Housing Colony, Railway Station, NIFT and adjoining areas.
