SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Baramulla and Kupwara districts to facilitate tree branch cutting along the 33 KV Amargarh–Watergam line.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdown will be observed on 6, 9 and October 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this period, the 33/11 KV Receiving Stations at Watergam, Hachipora, Hadipora, Safalpora and Ganapora will remain non-functional.
As a result, power supply to Watergam, Hachipora, Palpora, Behrampora, Dangiwacha, Safalpora, Renan, Ganapora, Tujjar, Ajoora, Langate, Kralgund and adjoining areas will remain affected.
KPDCL has urged consumers in the affected areas to bear with the inconvenience, stating that the shutdown is necessary to ensure safe and reliable power supply.
