SRINAGAR: Several areas across Kashmir will experience scheduled power shutdowns on different dates over the coming days due to maintenance work on various 33 kV transmission lines, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said.
According to KPDCL, power supply will remain affected in areas fed by the 33 kV Pampore-Pulwama line from 9 am to 2 pm on August 20 and 22. The affected areas include Kakapora, Pahoo, Nehama, Newa, Gudoora, Parigam, Singo Narbal and Zadoora.
Similarly, areas supplied by the 33 kV Potushai-Nadihal line will face an outage from 8 am to 2 pm on August 20 and 22. These include Ajas, SK Bala, Bazipora, Nadihal, Guroora and Argam.
The 33 kV Sharifabad-Narbal line will be shut down from 9 am to 2 pm on August 22, affecting Narbal, Kawoosa, Lawaypora, Suzaith, Sanoor, Malpora, Redbugh and Railway Station Mazhama, besides adjoining areas.
Power supply to areas including Miskeenbagh, Rosebal, Hazaribagh, Kondebal, Hasanabad, Jogi Lanker, Palpora, Sangam and JLNM Hospital will be affected from 8 am to 11 pm on August 22 and 24 due to shutdown of the 33 kV Khanyar and 33 kV Bagh-i-Ali Mardan Khan-Takanwari lines.
In north Kashmir, the 33 kV Delina-Sopore Tapline will remain shut from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on August 23, affecting Amargarh, Krankshivan, Sopore, industrial areas and Railway Sopore.
The 33 kV LJHP Uri line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 24 and 27 and September 1. The affected areas include Mohura, Noorkhah, Gingal, Salamabad, Lalpul, Garkote, Bandi, Parampillan, Rampur, Dhani, Bijhama, Bagna, Uri and Kamalkote, along with adjoining areas.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to take note of the scheduled shutdowns.
