SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer of the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power outages in several areas of Srinagar due to maintenance and improvement works on key power lines.
On January 9, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, power supply from the 33KV Wanganpora Khanyar and Wanganpora Takanwari lines to receiving stations, including Khanyar, Rainawari, and Takanwari, and their feeding areas will remain affected. Impacted locations include Miskeen Bagh, Rozabal, Maqdoom Sahib, Hazari Bagh, Jogilankar, JLNM Hospital, Kondalbal, Hassanabad, Palpora, Sangam, and Narwara. This disruption is due to the reconductoring of the Khanyar-Rainawari line, upgrading it from 0.15 ACSR to 0.2 ACSR.
Similarly, on January 11, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, power supply from the 33KV Badampora-Safapora Tap line to the Safapora Receiving Station and its feeding areas, including Safapora, Gratbal, Jarakobagh, and Manasbal, will be disrupted. The outage is attributed to stabilisation and improvement works on the 33KV Badampora-Safapora line and maintenance at the Safapora Receiving Station.
