KPDCL Announces Power Shutdowns Across Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Kashmir from August 17 to 24 to facilitate maintenance work on various transmission lines and receiving stations.

According to the KPDCL, power supply to areas fed by the 33 kV Kanir Tapline will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 17 and 20. The affected areas include Barwah, Nowpora, Kralwari Zoohama, Kanir, Hushroo, Hanjoora, Kheerigund, Chanagund, Dadaompora and adjoining areas.

Power supply to Seer, Chackloo, Rohama, Ladoora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 17 due to the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Amargarh SIDCO line.

Similarly, areas including Zachaldara, Wadipora, Changimulla and Qalmabad will face a power shutdown from 8 am to 2 pm on August 19 and 22 due to maintenance of the 33 kV Arampora Handwara Old line.

The 33 kV Arampora Handwara Hot line will also remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 18 and 21, affecting power supply to Handwara Town, Marathgam, Kulangam, Kandi, Sagipora, Chogal and adjoining areas.

Power supply to Old Kremshore, Arigam, Nunner, Shamsabad, Dreygam, Arampora, Parnewa and other adjoining areas will be affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 17 due to the scheduled shutdown of Receiving Station Kremshore.

The shutdown of the 33 kV HMT line and 33 kV Shariefabad-Narbal line will affect HMT, Bakshipora, Zainakote, Mustafabad, Umerabad, Hagibagh, Narbal, Kawoosa, Lawaypora, Suzaith, Sanoor, Malpora, Redbugh and Railway Station Mazhama, among other adjoining areas. The shutdown will remain in effect from 8 am to 1 pm on August 18.

Meanwhile, power supply to Ashajipora, Dialgam, Rohu, Malaknag, Reshibazar, Janglat Mandi, Shirpora, Nowgam and adjoining areas will be affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 17, 20 and 24 due to the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Wanpoh-Ashajipora-Malaknag DC line.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled power interruptions.
