SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of Srinagar will be affected between 9 am and 3 pm on specified dates in October due to scheduled shutdowns of four 33 kV lines, the Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has informed.
The shutdowns will affect residential areas as well as key public and healthcare locations, including JLNM Hospital and Gousia Hospital, on the respective dates.
According to the KPDCL schedule, the 33 kV Wanganpora-Tankanwari line will remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on October 10 and 12. As a result, power supply to Sangam, Shanglipora, Takanwari and adjoining areas will be affected.
The 33 kV Wangapora-Khanyar line will be shut from 9 am to 3 pm on October 12. The affected areas will include Kondabal, Hassanabad, Hazaribagh, JLNM Hospital, Jogilanker, Maqdoom Sahib, Miskeen Bagh, Rozbal and adjoining areas.
Power supply to Upper Soura, 90 Feet, Zoonimar, Anchar, Bohlachpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 9 am to 3 pm on October 13 and 15 due to the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Wagangpora-Soura-SKIMS line.
The 33 kV Bemina-Fatehkadal line will remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on October 15 and 19. The shutdown will affect KK Moulla, Nowpora, Bohrikadal, BB Shah, Badademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital and adjoining areas.
The scheduled interruptions are linked to shutdowns of the respective 33 kV lines, with power supply in the listed areas expected to remain affected during the specified six-hour periods.
Residents, businesses and institutions in the affected localities may make necessary arrangements in view of the announced schedule.
