KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Kashmir Division

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Friday announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Kashmir division over the coming days to facilitate maintenance works on various transmission lines.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 KV Sharifabad–Narbal line will remain shut on July 18, affecting power supply to Narbal, Kawoosa, Lawaypora, Suzaith, Sanoor, Malpora, Redbugh, Railway Station Mazhama and adjoining areas from 10:00 am to 10:30 am and again from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm..

The 33 KV KP Bagh line will also remain under shutdown on July 20, 23 and 27, resulting in power interruptions in KP Bagh, Soiteng, PHE, Mehjoor Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Kursoo Rajbagh, Zero Bridge, Gogjibagh, Lalmandi and adjoining areas from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

KPDCL further said the 33 KV Exhibition line and 33 KV Silk Factory line will remain shut on July 20, affecting electricity supply to Exhibition, Baranpather, Batamaloo, Danderkha, Silk Factory, Allochibagh, Rambagh, LD Hospital, Old Barzulla, Solina and adjoining areas from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

The 33 KV Pampore–SIDCO line will also remain under shutdown on July 19, disrupting power supply to IE Khrew and Cement Plants, Pampore, Khadermoh, Zewan, Tengan and adjoining areas from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Meanwhile, the 132 KV Zainakote–Patan–Magam Line, Circuit-I, will remain shut on July 18, affecting power supply to Magam, Beerwah, Mazhama, Kongamdara, Kunzer, Dhobiwan, Khag, Aripanthan, Arizal and adjoining areas from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, the statement added.
