KPDCL Schedules Power Shutdown in Multiple Areas

   

SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, of the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled shutdowns of key 33 KV lines, which will affect power supply to several areas in Kashmir later this month.

The 33 KV Wanpoh-Qazigund line will remain non-operational on March 28 and 30, 2026, impacting electricity supply to Qazigund, YK Pora, Nussu, Waltengoo, Chowgam, and adjoining areas from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM, the office of the Chief Engineer stated.

Similarly, the 33 KV Wanpoh-Qaimoh line will be shut down on March 26 and 28, 2026, resulting in power interruptions in Qaimoh, Rampora, Matalhama, and surrounding localities during the same hours.

Authorities advised residents and businesses to plan accordingly and make necessary arrangements to mitigate inconvenience during the scheduled maintenance period.

The shutdowns are part of routine maintenance and operational measures by KPDCL to ensure reliability and safety of the electricity distribution network in the region.
