KPDCL Schedules Power Shutdown in Multiple Kashmir Areas

   

SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of Kashmir will remain affected for up to six hours on October 3, 4 and 6 due to scheduled shutdowns of multiple 33 kV transmission lines, the Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has informed.

The shutdown of the 33 kV GIS Theed-Shalimar line will affect power supply to Dewan Colony, SKUAST, Shalimar, Arabal, Tailbal and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm on October 3.

On the same day, power supply to Shadipora, Trigam, Diver, Ganastan, Singhpora, Odina Migrant Colony and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm due to the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Shadipora-HMT line.

The 33 kV Gadoora Tapline will also be shut down from 8 am to 2 pm on October 3 and 6, affecting Fethapora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Shairpathri, Kachan and adjoining areas.

Meanwhile, the shutdown of the 33 kV Awantipora-Tral-I and Awantipora-Tral-II lines will affect power supply to Chewa, Tral Bala, Bajwani, Kahlil, Bathnoor, Hayina, Batagund, Lurgam, Wagad/Satoora, Pastona, Nanar, Taki, Lam, Jawaharpora, Aripal, Khangund, Satura and Nargistan, besides adjoining areas, from 9 am to 3 pm on October 4 and 6.

The shutdowns have been scheduled for maintenance-related works on the concerned power lines.
