KPDCL Schedules Power Shutdowns Across Parts of Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: Several areas across Kashmir will face scheduled power shutdowns on October 7, 10, 11 and 14 due to maintenance and related work on 33 kV transmission lines, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said on Tuesday.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, power supply to Dooru, Nowgam, Chowgund, Qammer Hiller, Sadiwara, Verinag, Toolpost and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on October 7 due to a shutdown of the 33 kV Lisser-Dooru line.

The 33 kV Nehalpora-Markundal line will also remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on October 7, 11 and 14, affecting power supply to Markundal, Naidkhai, Sumbal, Gund Boon and adjoining areas.

A shutdown of the 33 kV KP Bagh line has been scheduled from 10 am to 3 pm on October 10, affecting KP Bagh, Soiteng PHE, Mehjoornagar, Jawaharnagar, Kursoo, Rajbagh, Zero Bridge, Gogjibagh, Lalmandi and adjoining areas.

Power supply to Ompora, SIDCO, Housing Colony, Budgam Railway Station, NIFT and adjoining areas will be affected from 9 am to 3 pm on October 10 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam SIDCO line.

Meanwhile, the scheduled shutdown of the 220 kV Wagoora-Zainakote Circuit-I line on October 10 has been cancelled, KPDCL said.
