SRINAGAR: The University of Kashmir has appointed Prof Mubashir Hussain Masoodi of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences as the new Dean of the School of Applied Sciences and Technology for a period of three years.
According to a notification issued by the university, the appointment has been made following the completion of the term of Prof Zulfikar Ali Bhat as Dean of the School of Applied Sciences and Technology.
The notification said the Vice Chancellor, in exercise of the powers vested under Section 29(1) of the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act, 1969, nominated Prof Masoodi to the post with effect from August 24, 2026.
His tenure will continue for three years or until he attains the age of superannuation, whichever is earlier.
The notification, issued by the Deputy Registrar (Academic) on August 21, was circulated to senior university officials, deans, heads of teaching departments, directors of research centres and other concerned offices.
Prof Masoodi is associated with the University of Kashmir’s Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
