The ‘tussle’ between the Registrar and the Vice Chancellor Kashmir University has finally forced the former to tender his resignation on Tuesday while reports said that VC Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi has accepted his resignation shortly after he received the copy from the Registrar Professor Zafar Ahmed Reshi.

“There are certain personal reasons behind my resignation. I don’t want to exhaust myself anymore,” Reshi told CNS.

The term for Reshi as Registrar was supposed to come to an end in September this year. Sources informed that there was incompatibility over decision making between the Registrar and the Vice Chancellor.

Reshi had been appointed Registrar Kashmir University in 2012 and since then he had taken some important decisions to over haul the administration. He played a key role in dragging out Varsity from financial crunch.
