SRINAGAR
Two LeT militants were killed in an encounter with police and security forces in village Nowpora, Frisal in Kulgam district.
According to the poice spokesman, on specific information regarding the presence of armed militants in village Nowpora Frisal, Police, 1 RR, CRPF 90th Bn and 18th Bn launched a cordon and search operation, today. The militants fired on the joint search party triggering an encounter.
In the ensuing encounter two LeT militants got killed who were later identified as Zubair Ahmad Bhat alias Musab son of Nazir Ahmad resident of Nowpora and Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat alias Amir son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Chakoo, Shopian.
