SRINAGAR: A militant killed in a gunfight with the counter-insurgent forces at Batpora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district was affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit, police said.
An official said that the slain militant was identified as Abu Hurarah a resident Pakistan who was affiliated with the JeM.

“In the initial exchange of fire, one Army man and two civilians received injuries and were shifted to hospital for treatment where their condition is stable,” he said.
“Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition have been recovered from the site of the encounter. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation,” he said.
He added that in this regard, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been initiated.
