SRINAGAR: The two militants who were neutralised in encounter in Kulgam district have been identified as Basit Amin Bhat, hailing from Frisal, and Saqib Ahmad Lone, a resident of Hawoora in Kulgam.

“Both of them were found to be affiliated with the banned outfit, Hizbul Mujahideen (HM),” said ADGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.
Pertinently, a gunfight erupted on Wednesday afternoon when concealed militants attacked a search party in Kujjar village.
This operation is a collaborative effort involving the police, army, and CRPF.
