Internet services were suspended in south Kashmir’s Kulgam, Islamabad following the gunfight between the government forces and militants in Cheddar village of Qaimoh area of Kulgam district on Sunday.

Local sources said that internet services were snapped soon after the encounter broke out in the area.

An army spokesman said that two militants were killed in the gunfight. He said their bodies are yet to be retried. “Third militant is still trapped inside,” he said, adding that the identities of the slain are yet to be ascertained.
