One more militant has been killed in the gunfight with government forces in Hardmanguri area of Khur Batpora of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday taking the toll to four.
Police sources said that four militants have been killed in a gunfight so far while the search operation is going on.
They said that the identification of the slain militants is being ascertained.
The gunfight started the early morning after a joint team forces launched cordon and search operation in Hardmanguri area of Khur Batpora after specific information about the presence of some militants.
As the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter in which four militants were killed so far.
