Kulgam Shuts To Mourn Abu Qasim’s Killing

South Kashmir’s Kulgam district Thursday shuts spontaneously to mourn the killing of LeT’s top commander, Abu Qasim, killed in an encounter with government forces in the wee hours of Thursday morning at Khandaypora Kulgam.

Eyewitnesses said that angry protestors took to streets and lodged protest against the killing of the top militant.

Sources said the shopkeepers downed their shutters, while transport went off the roads.

Meanwhile, police said, two more militants are believed to be trapped in the area “as a fierce exchange of gunfire” is going on.
