People’s Conference (PC) chairperson and MLA Handwara Sajad Lone said that he is pained at the loss of lives due to firing of forces in Kupwara district.
Lone told KNS that the while it is imperative that forces will have to exercise restraint it is equally important that elders and members of the civil society at the village level get together and ensure that there is provocation or incitement.
“We as a society will have to get together and ensure that precious lives are not lost. The vicious cycle of the violence has to be stopped and that can only be achieved by collective efforts,” he said.
Sajad Lone is part of BJP which is running coalition government in J&K with PDP.
