All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) Chairperson Syed Ali Geelani has called for shutdown in Kashmir against the fresh killing of a youth in Nutnussa village in Kupwara district.

Geelani said that the people must observe shutdown to protest the “brutal killings of civilians by forces.”

Meanwhile, Kupwara administration had decided to close down all the schools and colleges in view of the tense situation from the last four days due to civilian killings.

DC Kupwara Kumar Rajiv Ranjan said that the schools and colleges will be shut tomorrow (Saturday).

Five civilians have been killed in the district in three days this week, and the situation continues to be tense. (KNS)
